In this programme, Bach's magnificent cantata 'Jauchzett Gott' for soprano
and trumpet contrasts with the sumptuous sound of his 'Wiederstehe' and gentle
brilliance of Vivaldi's famous 'Nulla in mundo pax'. Two instrumental
concertos are included alongside a gorgeous duet from Handel's Jephtha, in an evening
of glorious music by some of the greatest composers of the baroque era.
