From Mary's anguish as she seeks the young Jesus, to the Magdalene's joy on Easter morning, this is a programme that will delight the soul. Containing J.S. Bach's magnificent suite in G major for solo cello alongside duets and arias from Bach's numerous cantatas, the evening moves from the majesty of the German masters to the drama of Henry Purcell and gentle beauty of Charpentier and Campra.
